Bio
Julie Kirkpatrick's journey into law reflects her deep roots in the local community of Plano, Texas. After completing her Bachelor of Liberal Studies magna cum laude at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, she immersed herself in the banking and oil & gas sectors for several years.
In 2004, Julie seized the opportunity to pursue her long-held ambition to practice law. She was part of the first group accepted into Southern Methodist University's evening law school program. Balancing the demands of full-time work, single parenthood to two children, and evening classes at SMU Dedman School of Law, Julie demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance. Her efforts culminated in the award of her Juris Doctorate in May 2008, followed by her licensure as an attorney in November of the same year.
After her licensure, Julie found her calling in family law. Drawing from her own experiences of divorce and single parenthood, Julie brings a unique blend of compassion, empathy, and understanding to her practice. This firsthand insight enables her to deeply connect with her clients, empathize with their challenges, and provide tailored legal guidance. Julie is renowned for her unwavering advocacy on behalf of her clients. Her approach is marked by both compassion and assertiveness, ensuring that her clients receive the dedicated representation they deserve during challenging times.
When she’s not in the office, Julie cherishes moments spent with her children and cherished friends, and Great Dane Scooby.
